Yesterday we played outside after dinner until it was time for bed and you explored all of your toys in the garage. While grandma and grandpa were here last month we had breakfast at uncle Joel's one day and watched while his neighbor hauled a ton of toys outside and put them on the curb with a free sign ... needless to say we snagged them all which resulted in his neighbor bringing out the next load and putting them straight into papa's truck. Included in this was a little tykes tool bench with a whole assortment of tools, a little tykes easel, a lawnmower and many other things. There was also a small keyboard which we left at uncle Joel's for you to play with there. When you play with the tool bench you have been making a door ever since you helped dad make a door for the attic access upstairs. Last night every time you picked up your "pounder" aka hammer you looked at me and said "this is going to be loud" before you started working. After you were done building you mowed the lawn and then took baby for a ride in her stroller.
At dinner tonight you were really lovey and kept leaning over to give me kisses and wrapping your arm around my back. My heart melted every time you did this and I wanted to sit there all night with you kissing and hugging me.
Just now you are in bed and I can hear you talking to yourself and I've been wondering what you were doing but I think I just figured it out. Every night you take a book to bed with you and I think you are reading your book to yourself and doing it out loud because that is how we always read to you. If that isn't what you are doing then you've got me pretty confused!
