What a week you have had! You've spent the past few days playing with Grandpa all day while Grandma makes deserts for Joel's wedding. I was a little nervous about how you would adjust to staying with Grandma and Grandpa this week but had nothing to worry about. I think it helps that you saw them last month for the wedding shower, they are a little more familiar to you now than in the past. You have opened right up to them and are enjoying your time with them.
Tuesday night you had your 16 month appointment with Dr T and we discovered that you had the beginnings of an ear infection. He gave us a prescription to fill "if we needed" which was a good thing because Wednesday night you were up most of the night crying. Last night you slept all the way through so I'm thinking that you are feeling a little better but we'll keep an eye on you. You weighed 20lbs 3 oz which is about the 10th percentile and were 30 inches long which is the 40th percentile. Even though you are "small" Dr T said he is not at all concerned and would rather see a petite child than one at the top of the chart. We also asked about your speech since you are still only saying a few words and he is also not concerned about that and believes you will start talking up a storm in a few more months.
