We survived! Wedding weekend chaos has officially come to a close and we are breathing a huge sigh of relief around here. We had a great time and enjoyed seeing all of the family but it was a busy week and weekend and we are glad to have nothing on our calendar for tomorrow. The wedding went off beautifully and you were a great flower girl. At rehearsal on Friday night it looked like you might actually walk down the aisle, however, on Saturday you only slept for a little while in the morning and then missed your afternoon nap which meant that by the time the ceremony started you were tired and still not feeling well. I carried you down the aisle, we met your daddy at the front and then you went to sit with Grandma and Grandpa Sweat. You lasted a few minutes there and then went to find Grandma and Grandpa Lawatsch who were a couple of rows back. You sat with them for a couple of minutes and then passed out on Grandpa's lap and you stayed asleep through the entire ceremony, pictures after the ceremony and ride to the reception. At the reception you had your second wind and were quite the little party girl. You've apparently discovered that you like ketchup and spent quite a while dipping your fry in ketchup, licking the ketchup off the fry and then dipping it again. At the reception the DJ had lights going and you loved chasing the lights around the dance floor and following your shadow on the dance floor. All night long we received compliments from people on how adorable you were and how well behaved you were. You really did do a great job and handled an extremely long day very well.
Today was Father's Day (Happy Father's Day honey!) which was sort of overlooked as wedding chaos wound down. The day started at Joel and Jessica's house with a brunch and gathering to watch them open presents. We tried to move things along pretty quickly so that they could get some rest (and we could too) and we came back to our house for the afternoon wth Grandma and Grandpa Sweat and Great Grandma and Grandpa Sweat. We spent the afternoon laying around and napping before heading to dinner. Everyone is now on their way back home and we hope all of their travels go well. We had a great time celebrating and are so happy for Joel and Jessica!
