Oh little one ... do you know how much I love you?? Are there even words to express it? I am so proud of you and blessed to have you in our lives. Today was your first Christmas Tree hunt and I loved every minute of it. Of course it was freezing out and snowing, but we still had fun. We rode the wagon out to the back of Tannenbaum tree farm and then walked around looking for trees for us, Grandma and Grandpa. We all like Douglas Fir, however, they were all destroyed in a frost in May ... so, we spent some time looking around at the trees and then went back up to the front where they had the already cut trees from their farm in Greenville. There we all found Douglas Firs. You were so good the entire time we were there ... you were all bundled up and I carried you in the baby bjorn. Every now and then I would try to cover your face to keep you from getting too cold and you would knock the blanket off your face, you had to be able to see EVERYTHING. I can't wait for next year when you can toddle around with us and pick out your tree :) We brought our tree home but didn't put it up today because Aunt Kate came over and helped me paint the living room. It was a horrific mauve color and we painted it a brown (yes, like every other room in this house!). It looks so much better. Next up, the dining room!
This weekend had been really fun to spend the whole day with you ... yesterday you had pancakes for breakfast. You ate two and half a banana. Tonight for dinner you had a little bit of my piece of pizza. It is so fun to be able to feed you just about anything. At Cancun (a mexican restaurant in Grand Ledge) the other day I gave you some of my rice and it was so much fun watching you eat it grain by grain. Your appetite and interest in food seem to be growing every day and I can't wait to see what you discover next!
