Happy 9 Month Birthday! We are currently in Iowa and waiting for you to fall asleep. Daddy, Gampa and I are in the room watching football and you are in a pack and play at the foot of the bed. Every now and then you pop your head over the edge of the crib and look at us.
This weekend has been trying, but worth it. Yesterday was Thanksgiving and we spent it with John, Toni, Sami and Jason as well as Grandma and Grandpa Boomgarden and Grandma and Grandpa Sweat. Grandpa Boomgarden is living in a nursing home, however, he came to have dinner with us. He doesn't recognize any of us, however, he is excited by you because he has always loved babies. Today we picked him up and spent some time at Steve and Shirley's where we did Christmas. It has been great seeing everyone and I know everyone has enjoyed seeing you.
Ok, just now you started crying so hard your voice was quivering so Gampa picked you up and is cuddling you. And now you've fallen asleep on his chest. Last night you fell asleep on Great Grandma Boomgarden's chest so this has been quite the weekend for you.
You've changed so much even in the past month. The biggest changes have been in your diet ... you are eating just about everything in solid form. This weekend you have had waffles, cantaloupe, turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn and other things that I can't even think of. You are also standing yourself up on just about anything. A few times you've let go and stood for a second on your own. I wouldn't be surprised if you are walking by 10 months.
Happy Thanksgiving and 9 Month Birthday, we love you and you are the biggest blessing!!
