It's Wednesday morning, December 24th and it is your first Christmas!! The past weeks have been busy ... shopping, entertaining, digging out of the multiple snow storms ... You have grown so much that I barely have time to sit down anymore. We can no longer set you down somewhere to play because wherever we set you is really just a jumping off point for your next big adventure. You are crawling all over and pulling yourself up on just about everything. Yesterday you climbed onto the bottom stair of the staircase. That was the first time I'd seen you actually pull yourself up onto something (more than just pulling yourself to a standing position).
Grandma and Grandpa Sweat and Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Sweat are currently visiting for Christmas. On Sunday Great Grandma Lawatsch came to town and you were baptised at University Lutheran Church. Joel, Jessica and Kristen are your sponsors. You were great during the entire baptism. We'd had a snow storm overnight so there weren't very many people at church but those who were there enjoyed you. During the service you were talking and singing and during the actual baptism you just looked at the pastor, but you didn't cry. Following your baptism we went to Grandma's (Jan's) for a brunch and ended up spending pretty much the whole day there. All of your grandparents and great grandparents enjoy watching you and it is fun to see you interact with all of them.
Today we are going to spend the day with the Sweats and then everyone (Sweats and Lawatschs) is going to go to lunch at Red Cedar Grill before we go to church for Christmas Eve services. Tonight we will celebrate Christmas with the Sweats. Tomorrow we'll have everyone in the morning before the Sweats all leave for the airport. At that time we will head to Detroit to see Great Grandma Lawatsch and that side of the family. You've been so good with everyone and I have no doubt you will continue to have fun!
