We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. What an amazing experience it was to be a parent at Christmas this year. As we drove home last night we were reflecting on the feeling of driving our family to and from Christmas celebrations. Julie was an amazing baby (as always) during a very busy day. We started the day with breakfast with Grandma and Grandpa Sweat as well as Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Sweat. From there we headed to Detroit to spend the afternoon with Great Grandma Lawatsch, Ron and Yeung-Sun Lawatsch, Jim and Kirstie Lawatsch and Kirstie's parents. Jan, Gary and Kristen met us there as did Brandon and Stacey Smith with Keegan. Keegan is 2 and it was really fun to see the differences in the cousins. After dinner at Great Grandma's we came back to Okemos and opened presents at Jan's. Jan gave her the ball popper in the video in this posting. Julie was showered with many presents ... books, toys, clothes and gift cards. However, the most fun was seeing her spend time with all of our family. For all the stories I've heard about how overwhelming the holidays can be for babies; however, Julie did a great job with all the different people and places we threw at her. I hope that everyone had as great of a time as we did!
