We've returned from a great weekend in San Diego. We left Michigan on Wednesday and arrived late that evening. Grandma and Grandpa were supposed to arrive right after us, however, their flight was delayed so we went to the hotel and they came later that night. Thursday we went north of San Diego to Stone Brewery and had lunch before heading down the coast. We stopped in La Jolla and spent a few hours wandering around. While in La Jolla we saw a Sea Lion out in the water and also went to Seal beach where there were a couple of dozen seals. As the sun started to set we got back on the road and drove down the coast back to our hotel in San Diego. Friday morning we went to Mission Beach and had breakfast outside before playing on the beach for awhile. Friday evening was Bri's wedding in Balboa Park. It was a gorgeous wedding and Julie was so good! Saturday we went to lunch with Josh House, my cousin who lives in San Diego and then went back to Balboa Park and wandered through some of the gardens. We had to leave at 10:20 that night so we went back to the hotel in time to take naps and get to the airport. Julie traveled really well, however, now she is starting to show the effects of the trip ... she is soooo tired and crabby.

This trip had so many firsts for Julie ... first time seeing Sea Lions and Seals, first time playing on grass and sand and the first time in the Pacific Ocean. It was so fun to see her reacting to everything. She shows so much excitement through her little noises, sticking out her tongue and rocking her little body. She is so close to sitting on her own ... she'll sit for a second or two and then start to lean in one direction before falling over. She is also sucking her toes which just cracks me up.

I've got to get to bed tonight or I will be a monster tomorrow. I'm working on uploading pictures and will share as soon as I can!
