My first boyfriend

Holding hands with Tony
Wow ... my fingers can go into his mouth too

Tony Mittino is 5 weeks (to the day) younger than Julie. During my maternity leave Sarah and I spent a lot of time together with the babies. Sarah is one of those friends that come into your life and you wonder what you did without them. Her first child, Sofi, is 4 years old now and has been the only little one in our group until now. When Steve and I decided to get pregnant we knew that Sarah and Adam were also trying. I found out I was pregnant and immediately told our friends at which point we all started talking about "what if" we both had babies at the same time. A few months after I announced my pregnancy Sarah informed us she was through her first trimester (ok, she thought we didn't know, but sorry hon ... we had that one figured out!)

During our pregnancies we really enjoyed having someone else who wasn't drinking, was eating way too much ice cream and had crazy mood swings. It made it all seem that much more normal. That listening ear became more important after Julie was born. I have a lot of friends that I have turned to as I've made this adjustment but Sarah is the one who can truly empathize! Now that the kids are starting to become more aware of their surroundings we are so excited to see them grow up together. We can't help but hope that they become friends as they grow up and create as many great memories as their parents have!

These pictures were taken July 19th when Sarah and I were hanging out with the kids. This was the first time that they had looked at each other or realized that they were touching each other when we put them next to each other (at this point Julie is a little more aware, but Tony is close behind her)
