I don't remember the last time I've laughed so much or had such a fun evening. Well, really, the whole weekend was great! We are finally getting back to our normal schedule from the events of the last couple of weeks. On Friday night Julie stayed at Grandma's which meant that daddy and I had it a little easier with just Lil. On Saturday I took Lil to Grandma's and you both played while I took recycling and ran a few errands. Typically, Sunday mornings are spent with me trying to read the paper while you two play, however, Lil is now in a Godzilla phase and nothing is safe around her so I knew I wouldn't do too much relaxing this morning, plus I was going to breakfast with Aunt Sarah around 9 so I was trying to allow daddy a little time to sleep in so Jules, Lil and I spent most of the morning (7am-8:15am) playing in the play room. You two love your kitchen and it is a lot of fun watching you navigate around it. Lil loves to stand at it and bang the pots and pans, although other times she will sit down with a spoon and a bowl and stir things up. Jules meanwhile is busy planning parties for her dolls (or setting up a classroom as we had in the bath this evening). I still haven't read the paper today but I am so glad I spent that extra time playing with the two of you.

This afternoon, Callie, Emma and Matt came over to pick up some things and also return some things they'd borrowed. You were both napping when they got here but Lil got right up to play with Emma and the two of you were having a great time. Jules joined in eventually but was a little reserved the entire time. It was refreshing to see / hear Emma doing the same things that I clearly remember Jules doing, although it was disheartening too because I know we'll have to go through it all again!

Lily has been teething this week and has not been pleasant. She has her bottom two front teeth and on the top has almost gotten the outer front teeth (not the middle two but the ones on either side of those) which means she has a really funny looking smile right now, it is almost like a vampire! In addition we have been attempting to get rid of the bottle which hasn't been as easy as it was with Jules. We've found that she prefers your nalgene water bottles to sippy cups so we have been trying to have one available with milk or water at all times. Some days she has really struggled with not having a mid day bottle, although she seems fine without her morning or night bottles. Today she didn't have any bottles so I think that we might almost be there!

Bath time tonight was a riot ... we got out the bathtub crayons and Jules, daddy and I were drawing on the walls which was a lot of fun. Lil has been a little constipated since switching to just milk (I know ... you can see where this is going, can't you!) Tonight she was in the tub and looked like she was trying to poop, however, daddy pulled her out of the tub and she didn't do anything. He put her back, we kept drawing and then I heard her grunting again so I opened the toilet seat and dad went to grab her just as she pooped in the tub. Of course we all started laughing but it got better because as dad went to hold her over the toilet she stood in the toilet ... so there I am trying to drain the tub and fish the poop out of it and daddy is holding Lily over the toilet and trying to keep her from standing in it. She eventually finished her business, we got the tub drained and refilled and returned to bath time, however, it was a really funny few minutes. This followed some co-pooping that you two did a couple of hours earlier when we could hear you in the bathroom doing your business and Lily was in the living room doing hers and both of you were not being quiet about what you were doing ... I don't know why but moments like that never fail to amuse us!
