So, it was a busy week as we celebrated Lily turning 1 and Julie turning 4! We were so fortunate that Grandma and Grandpa were able to come visit and we had a party on Saturday, February 25th to celebrate both birthdays. Papa was able to be here the whole week before your birthdays and he had to leave on the 27th, however, Grandma was able to stay until the 29th so she was here for both of your birthdays.
We had a great party on the 25th with Grandma Kathy, Papa Mike, Grandma Jan, Papa Gary, Joel, Jessica, Nate, Abbie, Zack, Leigh, Adam, Sarah, Sofi, Tony and Vinnie! We did a brunch which enabled us lots of time to talk with everyone and then we opened presents ... everyone was really generous and the girls received many great books, some clothes and $ for their college accounts. The whole day went quickly and it was over before we knew it :(
On Monday we spent the day with Grandma Kathy and ran some errands, including a trip to the credit union to deposit your money and also deposit the money from your piggy banks. I let Jules keep a little of her money for a trip to Target to buy a Kitty Pillow Pet that she really wanted ... which leads to Tuesday (Julie's birthday) which we spent with Grandma and Aunt Jess going to Trader Joes in Northvilled and the Howell Outlets. Jules took her new kitty with us but ended up leaving it behind at Trader Joes. The irony of it is that she never loses her things, but here is one she bought with her own money and she lost it within 24 hours, on her birthday??? Luckily one of my coworkers was able to pick it up for us on Wednesday and bring it to me on Thursday so Jules has her kitty back!
