Another one of Lily's new "tricks" is to yell at Thumper. She doesn't have many words that are recognizable, however, she will point and yell at the dog which looks like her mimicking us telling Thumper to go to her bed. She also mimics sneezes ... when someone sneezes it is inevitably followed by Lily "sneezing"
Today Lily and I did some errands while Julie played at Grandma's and she hung in there for most of the trip, however, when it came time to run into Target she was pooped out so I put her in the cart sleeping and she slept through the whole trip. Her thumb did eventually fall out of her mouth but that was the only movement she made while we were at Target.
I recently received a promotion at work that came with a new company car so I've moved into the Chrysler Town & Country. I certainly didn't think I'd be driving a mini van at 30 but have to admit that I love it! You can open the doors from the key fob and shut them with the push of a button which is great because it allows Julie to open and close her own door. We also recently moved her into a booster seat which she loves because she can undo her own seat belt. The other winning feature of the new car is the entertainment system (something I swore I'd never have) which Julie LOVES and I am sure Lily will come to love. It amazes me to think of the changes in technology, just today as we were heading home Julie was watching a DVD with the wireless headphones which enable her to hear the DVD and I could still listen to the MSU v. U of M basketball game (which MSU won!)
Last but not least, when we got home I was cleaning up the kitchen and in the 20 minutes or so it took me to do that Lily managed to empty the drawer that has their dishes and then empty a bowl of puffs onto the floor and eat them off the floor :)
