Letters

Last weekend Steve and Julie worked on her letters and she wrote the entire alphabet. It is really interesting watching her learn to read and write and we are really surprised at how hard on herself she is. We are trying to be really encouraging and hopefully she'll begin to understand that you don't always get things the first time you try. I was actually really proud of her!

There has been a lot of talk about Christmas recently and tonight was the first time that she expressed any apprehension about how Santa would find her if we weren't here for Christmas. Rather than try to explain that we would be here Christmas morning and would be leaving that day we discussed writing a letter to Santa with her list to let him know that she will be at her Grandma Kathy and Papa Mike's house in Wyoming. I guess that will be this weekend's writing assignment.
