Over labor day weekend Grandma and Papa Sweat came out for a visit, and as always we packed plenty into the weekend! They were here for a few days so we were able to take a trip to Holland to go to the beach as well as spend some time around the house and out and about around town. We also spent an afternoon at the mall where Julie got her ears pierced ... and she did a great job! Grandma decided to get a second set of holes so she was right there with Jules but Jules didn't even get all that upset. There was a quick "OW" when the first one was done and then a longer "OWWW" the second time followed by a couple of tears but after the lady gave her a sucker things were all good! Since they were pierced we've been cleaning them and she definitely tenses up but is still really good about letting us clean them. Jules is also proving again and again what a great big sister she is. Just tonight, Lily was fussing in the kitchen and Jules stopped playing in the living room and came into the kitchen to give Lily a toy and tell her that it would be all right before returning to playing. It is so amazing these moments when she is such a sweet, tender big sister.
