As I sit here, exhausted at 8:00pm you are crying in your room and have been for about 30 minutes. You are normally really good about going to bed so I don't know what is going on, however, I think you are just overtired and didn't eat enough at dinner. You've become such a big girl - tonight you wore big girl panties for a couple of hours. You had an accident after a while and were really unhappy to have wet pants. I have a feeling that when we make the move to no diapers you will have no problem. When you go potty right now you say "potty like Ryan" who is one of your friends at Marcie's.

You have begun speaking sentences of two to three words which is really exciting to me. You are still singing the abc's and now have more of the letters. More than the letters / words you just love to sing and dance and will start grooving to anything that you hear. Another favorite song of yours right now is "nooo no nooooo no" which you'll just sing as you move around and play. You've begun identifying your nuk which you call "duk" and you blanket sounds like "itty". What a hoot. You really are on the brink of quite a few new things.

I'm currently watching coverage of the recovery efforts in Haiti which was hit by a 7.0 earthquake this week. I can't even begin to describe the horror of their situation and hope you will never experience such conditions. At the same time I hope that we don't shelter you too much from the situations that the rest of the world are in. We are so fortunate and I want to make sure you always understand that and do what you can to help others.
