22 Months and a New Year!

Ok, so I'm a few days late writing this, what else is new? We got back from Colorado / Wyoming on Tuesday and are adjusting to life back in Michigan. Tuesday morning we got up at 5:30 am to head to the airport and were back in Michigan by 1:00pm. Grandma and Grandpa Lawatsch came over later that afternoon and spent some time with us. You and I went to dinner with them while daddy slept and then Grandma took you home for the night. we've unpacked and I'm not really sure where we are going to put all of your new stuff - it is EVERYWHERE. Our living room looks like the north pole exploded in it. Looking back on your last month there are a couple of things that really stick out to me. The first is your realization that when you ham it up people will watch and laugh. You did so many crazy things while we were with everyone over Christmas a lot of it was just because you were getting attention!

Another thing that really sticks out is your sudden affinity for stuffed animals. You now take a stuffed animal, usually Elmo, everywhere with us. I also think it is funny that you know Elmo's name and the way you say it is so cute. However, you still don't call Thumper, Bella or Chloe by their names?

Some other highlights of our trip to Colorado / Wyoming:

-Sledding with daddy and papa. It looked like you really enjoyed yourself and I can't wait to take you sledding around home. We just have to find a good hill.

-Making cookies with papa and Great Grandma Sweat - there wasn't enough sugar in the house for you. Instead of rolling the cookies in the sugar you started throwing sugar on the pan.

-Your first piano lesson with Grandma and Great Grandma Boomgarden. You were so excited to be sitting there with Grandma and had the greatest little whole body shake going on. Too cute!

Tonight we are going to Ben and Carrie's to celebrate the New Year and I can't wait. Love you and here's to many more stories in 2010!!!
