You are talking quite a bit more and really enjoy pointing things out for us. All day long we hear dog (said dawg with a little drawl), kitty, mama, dada, bapa (papa for Grandpa Lawatsch), ball, cycle, circle and many other things. When a motorcycle drives by you don't even look up you just say cycle.
I've noticed that you are playing more and more on your own these days and can keep yourself entertained for a few minutes when you are playing. Often times while we are making dinner you will do your own thing in the kitchen with us. Today you had two brooms (yours and mine) in your hands and were knocking them together. Next time I turned around you were brushing one of your stuffed animals with your broom and chattering away. It is so fun to watch you play these little games by yourself.
While you have many adorable traits you have also picked up the not so desirable trait of hitting when you are upset. You have hit me, daddy, grandma, the dog and many inanimate objects. We are trying to speak quietly, hold your hands and say no but it is frustrating and you just want a reaction. Hopefully this phase will pass quickly.
This weekend we had a garage sale and you got to spend most of the day outside with grandma and I. We had a great time outside and really enjoyed what apperas to be the last day of the summer since it has been windy and raining for the last 24-36 hours. Hopefully we'll have a couple more nice days since we still have some home football game (yay for tailgating) and you got a new car this weekend. I went and got you one of the Little Tykes cozy coupe toy cars and I can't wait to see you playing with it. You were playing with it yesterday as soon as I got it home but it wasn't put together yet and you had an absolute melt down when I told you to wait while I put it together. By the time we got you put down for a nap and I finished putting the car together the yucky weather had started to move in. I did get a great picture of you while we were putting the car together - you had climbed into the car and your hair was sticking straight up all over the place from the static electricity.
