This past weekend we went to Tawas for a Stephan family birthday party to celebrate Laura's 50th Birthday, JP's 60th Birthday, Phil's 70th Birthday as well as John and Abby turning 10! In addition to the birthday party we were celebrating Haley Stephan completing her GED ... so all in all it was a big weekend! You went up with Grandma, Laura and Phil on Thursday which meant you were up there for two days before daddy and I joined you. I gotta say, I enjoyed the time although I was happy to see you when we go there Saturday. Grandma was happy to see us too since she was tired after two days with you!
Some of our plans for the weekend were altered by the fact that it was in the 60's (even though it is August!). I had envisioned spending a large part of the weekend in the water, however, we were in pants and fleece jackets all weekend. We still managed to spend a large part of the weekend down on the beach and you played your first game of ladderball (aka hillbilly golf) as well as managing to bury yourself in the sand! It was so fun watching you play in the sand!
I think my favorite part of the entire weekend was when there was a cake for the birthdays and you dove right in - swiping at the frosting and getting it all over your jacket and your face!
