World Peas

I swear, I'm really good about writing for a few days and then it all goes to heck ... I guess I have an excuse for the past weekend since I was in Chicago with Aunt Sarah and Aunt Kate. It was a girls weekend away from husbands and kids and it was wonderful!! I love you to pieces and thought of you and shopped for you the entire time I was gone, but it felt so good to have 36 hours where I didn't think about feeding anyone but me, changing you, nap times or anything else.

Monday I did some research on moving to the next stage for your foods and decided you were ready to try some bigger food, so we tried peas. You did great. Tonight I steamed some carrots and cut them up. You just dug right in. I'm pretty excited to see you eating pieces of food and you seem to really enjoy it. It feels like you've grown up over night. You are also pulling yourself up and really close to crawling on all fours (hands and feet as opposed to hands and knees)
