They ask all sorts of questions about your development ... are you holding objects, are you reaching for objects, do you move objects back and forth between your hands and on and on ... when the nurse asked does she sit up with some support she looked up from her file and saw that you were sitting on your own on the table. Apparently not many kids can do that at 6 months. You also demonstrated your ability to roll over for her. Other things you are doing now include holding your own bottle and playing with your spoon (we don't let you play with it when there is food involved because you have a habit of flipping it all over the place).
At this visit you had to get more shots and you were very good for those. For the first one you didn't even react, then you started to cry when they kept coming and coming. Ok, it was only 4 but it felt like a million. After the dr's I took you to Marcie's where you fell asleep for a couple of hours. When dad brought you home at 5:30 you stayed awake for a little while and then fell asleep for the night. Marcie said that today you slept almost all day, and again tonight you've been asleep most of the evening. I'm sure that by tomorrow you'll have your energy back, but right now you are spent! In fact, last night you fell asleep while daddy was feeding you and that is not something that would normally happen. Food is way too important.
