Yesterday we went to the doctor to have Julie's ears checked out. She has been tugging on her left ear for a couple of days in addition to the runny nose she's had since we got back from California. The doctor said she is just fine and is most likely tugging on her ears as a result of discomfort from teething or drainage. Apparently the way nerve endings are located they tug on their ear to try to relieve discomfort. Way to make the symptoms easy to diagnose.
While we were at the doctor's they weighed Julie and the monster now weighs 14 lbs ... wow ... what happened to my tiny little 6 lb peanut?? Everyone says, oh she's so tiny when they see her and I want to say ... no she's not, not anymore!
She is discovering her voice and loves the sound she can make while you bounce her on your knee. She is just fascinated by all the different noises she can make. She also loves to play in her upper octave which has prompted more than one conversation from Steve about the difference between indoor and outdoor voices. The best part is that her response to that particular conversation is usually to sing a little higher!
