Let there be light!

Well, tonight will be our fifteenth and final night out of our home. Our power was finally restored, albeit temporarily tonight. We still don't have any sort of gas but anticipate that within a couple of days. Until then I guess we'll grill. Not that we have any food in the house. Anyway ... we'll be going home tomorrow and we are so thankful!

This weekend we went to Wisconsin to visit with Steve's Aunt Barb and Uncle Joe and their girls Suzy and Chrissy. Chrissy's husband David and daughter Ceci were there too. Ceci is 8 months old and it was adorable to see her and Julie interacting. In reality it was more Ceci being really intrigued by Julie. This was Julie's longest car trip and she did really well. On the way there we hit Chicago traffic so it took us a bit longer than usual. Coming home we stopped in Chicago to have lunch with Sarah which helped break up the drive. What a weekend it was ... all sorts of firsts for Julie. First time in Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin. First time in a pool (Ceci's little wading pool), first time in Lake Geneva.

Second cousins Cecilia (Ceci) and Julie. Ceci is 8 months and Julie is almost 4 months.

Julie is changing so much. While in Wisconsin I set her down on her stomach and she rolled right over to her back. Tonight Jan and I were watching her and she almost made it from her back to her stomach. She is so close to figuring it out! She has always loved her Nuk (pacifier) and now if she doesn't have a nuk in her mouth she has almost her entire fist. She is gnawing on any fingers people will donate too. I really don't think it will be long before we start to see teeth.

Switching away from Julie, a quick update on the house. We haven't been able to do much yet. We finally had an adjuster out to look at the house on Thursday. Steve and his friends have gotten a lot done with removing trees from the yard but that's about as far as we've made it.
