Hobo's Lullaby

I haven't written about this yet partly because I can't think about it without crying. I have the most amazing friend (Sarah, you all probably know her ... she is my best friend in the world, a fabulous maid of honor and the one person I could really talk to about being CRAZY with pregnancy hormones) At my baby shower she gave me a cd containing a lullaby that she recorded with Curtis Evans. We didn't listen to the lullaby until after Julie was born, I don't know that it was a conscious decision on our part, but we waited so that Ziggy (now Julie) could hear it with us for the first time. In the first few days that we were home (they are all a blur) Steve put the lullaby into the CD player and we started listening. Before we knew it we were both crying. Even now I cry almost every time I hear this lullaby, partly because it is just so beautiful and partly because I can't believe I have such a talented friend. I am also in awe of the fact that even before she was born Sarah loved Julie enough to do this for her. I will never forget Sarah's response when I told her how much we enjoyed the lullaby and the reaction we had to it ... i'll record a 1000 more lullabies for her. xo

I can't figure out another way to do this, so click on the link and it will take you to box.net and allow you to download the lullaby that Sarah recorded for Julie. http://www.box.net/shared/wxmtcd8g00

You can also visit Sarah's myspace page for more of her music http://www.myspace.com/sarahholtschlag

My dad is sending Julie his old ipod so that we can play Hobo's Lullaby and other music for Julie in her room. (Sorry Dad, I really don't think Enter Sandman is going to make the cut)
