Oh the fun never stops! Since Lily started moving around Steve and I have been sure that she would be the first of the two to need stitches. Then last week happened and Julie managed to get both a black eye and a huge goose egg on her forehead in two separate incidents. Hmm ... concerning to anyone else? Don't worry, turns out she is just going through an awkward stage, and runs too fast at all times. We also wonder if she isn't going through a growth spurt or being affected by her ears. Turns out she has mild to moderate hearing loss in her left ear due to fluid which was discovered in March. Doctors now wait 12 weeks to see if the fluid drains itself and then if it doesn't they consider doing tubes so we are now waiting until June to see what will come next. In the meantime our child can't walk in a straight line or hear us ... but no worries ;)
Lily is moving right along, although now through a really weird crawl or walking along things, but still not walking on her own. Her crawling is quite entertaining when she is trying to carry things because she has them in her hand and uses one leg to scooch herself along in a half walk / crawl while sitting upright. I really can't even describe it. She is really close to walking and currently hangs onto one of your fingers while cruising around. Her bottom two teeth finally came in so she now has the center 4 on the top and 2 on the bottom. It looks like she is getting a couple more on the bottom so pretty soon she'll have a toothy smile! She recently started responding to a game that Steve plays where he comes in to tickle her on the belly and makes a noise like a firework on the way in and then does a tickle explosion when he gets to her belly (sorry, don't know a better way to describe it) ... anyway, tonight when he was doing that to her she leaned out of my arms towards him and made noises while leaning in and then started laughing when she pushed on his chest. It was the funniest thing!
