Back to Dr. T

I took Lily to Dr. T today for a follow up for her ear infection ... turns out that has cleared up, however, the antibiotics from that resulted in a yeast infection which is also on her hand and in her mouth (thrush). Tonight Steve and I were both feeling like bad parents for not noticing everything that has been going on with her, however, I also know that we can't beat ourselves up. The bumps in her diaper we thought were from a diaper rash so we'd been treating that. We can't really see in her mouth and she is continuing to eat and drink so we really wouldn't have any reason to look in her mouth and I noticed the bumps on her hand today at the Dr's and asked him about them which is how we discovered that not only did she have thrush but she had a yeast infection on her hand (from always being in her mouth) and then once Dr. T explained that I opened her diaper and asked if those bumps were a yeast infection which he confirmed. The bumps on her hand couldn't have been there long because I noticed them quickly today and am certain I would have noticed them if they'd been there ... it looks like she has a burn / blister between her thumb and pointer finger. Poor little girl :( While she was at Lansing Peds we also weighed her and she came in at a whopping 15 lbs 3 oz!
