Touch a truck

Today was a Touch a Truck event in Lansing which was an opportunity for kids to get up close and personal with a fire truck, rescue helicopter, board of water and light boom truck, school bus, cata bus, water rescue truck, tow truck and probably a few other things I am forgetting. There was also an inflatable obstacle course run by the parks department. Steve is out of town this weekend for a Father's Day getaway with Nick so I decided to take the girls and then Jan and Gary came with us which was awesome - always better to have an equal or greater number of adults to children! Jules was pretty hesitant about exploring the trucks but did enjoy the obstacle course and seeing the helicopter take off. As kids explored the trucks they were climbing into the drivers seats and apparently LOVED honking the horns which led to a parking lot full of honking and a headache by the time we left ;) Amazingly Lil slept through the entire adventure only occasionally waking up to look around, decide she wasn't interested and then go back to sleep.
