What S#!T?

I've always known to be aware of little ears but we've never really been too concerned about our language. Ever since our friends started having kids and also with Julie's birth we've joked about using "earmuffs" in reference to the movie Old School. We've certainly tried to be aware of our language and limit the use of bad language in front of the kids but sometimes it just comes out. Last night as we were getting Jules ready for bed Steve and I were talking and he made a comment about being "sick of that shit"and Jules popped her head up and said "what shit" ... we knew it would happen someday but apparently it is time that we really start to censor what we are saying. On a side note, Jules is currently playing with one of her favorite toys, a rubbermaid container that I filled with rice. Usually she scoops rice between different cups while pretending she is cooking with it or something like that. Today, however, is a little different as she is pretending it is a litter box that she is scooping and that two of her cups are Bella and Chloe (and yes, Chloe is our cat who died in October but apparently lives on for Jules). I love the imagination of kids.

Love this post! I can just hear her tiny little voice say shit. It's cute. But hopefully she'll forget it? ha!

Oh boy...this is really funny. Things are going to have to change in the Lawatch house. Or maybe just really use the earmuffs!
