New kitty

For Julie's birthday Lily gave her a puppy dog from Build A Bear along with a leash and food dish for her dog, however, the leash broke after a few days of Julie dragging the thing through the house so we've had a "date" to go get her dog a new leash for a little while. This is easier said than done since we don't have a Build A Bear here, so today I packed up the girls and took them to the mall in Ann Arbor to get her dog a new leash. Well, sucker that I am Julie ended up making a kitty while we were there and picking out a dress for her kitty. We had such a great time, Julie got to put the stuffing in the kitty and also put a heart in it after rubbing it in her hands to warm it up, holding it to her ear to make sure her kitty would be a good listener, rubbing it on her tummy to make sure her kitty grew up big and strong, holding it against her forehead to make sure she was smart and finally making a wish and giving it a kiss!

After Build A Bear we went to lunch at California Pizza Kitchen which was quite a sight for the other patrons! Now that Julie's dog has a new leash she was walking it through the mall while carrying her kitty in the box that you get with a new animal at BAB (looks like a cardboard box you can get from an animal shelter if you don't have a carrier when adopting an animal). Along with Julie and her entourage I also had Lily, a stroller and a couple of shopping bags. Whew, we had our hands full!

When lunch was done we looked in a couple more stores and then headed home which brought me 45 minutes of peace and quiet when both girls fell asleep in the car on the ride home!
