So, February has come and gone and I've been on pins and needles for most of it since my Dr told me at the beginning of February that she was sure I'd have Lillian within the next two weeks. Following that appointment there was a flury of activity as we finished getting things ready around the house, I wrapped things up at work and we made back up plans for help with Julie in case she came while Jan was in Puerto Rico on vacation. And then, we waited and waited and are still waiting! Here I am 1 week away from my due date and 3 weeks since the Dr was sure I would have her within the next 2 weeks. Grandma and Papa Sweat are arriving on Saturday since we were sure that Lillian would be here (and hopefully still will be). So, now I'm trying to think calming thoughts and relax until our family of 3 becomes 4 which is hard to do because I am so excited to meet Lillian (and am definitely done being pregnant). We had a false alarm last week when I was having regular contractions so we took Jules to Jan's around 9:30pm and headed to the hospital only to be sent home at 1am after a nice shot of morphine to take the edge off the contractions. I have no idea if they kept up or not but I sure did manage to get a great night of sleep, probably the best I'll have for many months.
Jules - your birthday is next week and I can't even believe you are going to be 3! I am definitely excited that Grandma and Papa will be here for your birthday and hope that whatever happens with your sisters arrival this is a great birthday for you. I've already promised that at some point (probably later in March) I will take you, Sofi and Tony to Jumpin Jax to play in the bounce houses and you are so excited for that. Last night we went to dinner at Cancun and someone else was celebrating their birthday. As the waiters finished their song you asked if it was someone's birthday and then told us how you think you'd like to go there for your birthday. That blew your dad and I away - it seems like such an adult thought to be coming from you but I have to start getting used to the fact that you can process things that I am not expecting. You definitely understand that your birthday is coming up and you will be 3 on your birthday which is really fun to see.
So, hopefully my next entry is to introduce Lillian! (come on baby girl, we are ready to meet you!)
