This weekend we went to Wisconsin for Suzy Lawatsch's wedding which was on Saturday in Lake Geneva. On Friday night as we were driving to Wisconsin we stopped at Chili's for dinner (I know, real original) and while we were eating you were sitting next to me clowning around when you leaned into me and said "me love you lots" ... which made my heart melt! This was the first time you've said I Love You without any sort of prompting and I can't even tell you how much I enjoyed it!
The wedding was gorgeous and you had a great time playing with Ceci, both at the wedding and on Sunday morning at Joe and Barb's house. All in all it was a great weekend, although it was a lot of traveling and a lot of people we all seemed to survive.
The last couple of days are another story though as all of the sudden you've turned into a very opinionated little girl (and your opinion is a 180 from mine). It's been a battle to get you going in the morning and last night was a battle to get you to sleep. This morning you were not in the best of moods and while you were having a meltdown (over what? I'm not sure) I decided to try a trick I'd read in a magazine recently in which the parent asks the kid who is having a temper tantrum to help them search for their composure. As the search goes on you look under the bed, in the closet, in the kitchen until you have calmed down and are sufficiently distracted. So, fast forward to this morning and you are having a meltdown over something so I ask you (in a really fun, really excited voice) if you can come with me to find your composure? You were slightly intrigued so I hyped it up a little more and asked again if you knew where we should look for your composure? In a very matter of fact voice you told me it was "upstairs on the counter" so I said "alright, let's go get it" to which you responded "me no get it)
