We've been pretty busy the last few weeks and I haven't really taken the time to write. Last weekend we went to Chicago for the end of Dad's spring break and had a great time. The first night we were there we went to Chrissy and David's house for dinner with them and Suzie and her fiance Doug. You and Ceci had a great time playing together once you warmed up to her. You also got to meet Izzy for the first time and I was surprised that you didn't pay that much attention to her. She is only a few months old and I thought you would be really excited to see a baby, however, you were much more interested in playing with the baby dolls in the basement. On Saturday we went to the Children's Museum on Navy Pier -this was a really impressive museum and we had a great time. Due to the time of day and the number of people there we were only there for a couple of hours so we only got to see part of the museum but we had a great time with what we did see. Nick met us at the museum and then spent most of the day with us - we went to lunch and then spent time walking around downtown and Millennium park. At first you wanted nothing to do with Nick, however, you warmed up to him and the two of you had a great time. For the last couple of hours Nick was pushing your stroller around and using you to attract women - we'll tell you the story sometime!

Nick pushing the stroller - we had to document this because no one will believe that Nick was actually pushing a stroller!
After all of this we headed back to our hotel and John, Toni, Sami and Jason met us there. The hotel had a "water park" which is why we chose to stay there, however, it was not quite what I expected so I doubt we'll stay there again. We had fun seeing everyone though - we ordered pizza on Saturday night and then on Sunday went to Panera for breakfast before spending some time in the water park. As we were heading out of town we stopped at a Mexican restaurant near the hotel that was really good! The guacamole was really spicy and you loved it - you kept asking for chips with guac.

This brings us to Monday morning when you asked to wear underwear instead of a diaper. I still didn't feel ready for this but I wasn't going to argue with you so I threw a couple of extra pairs of underwear and a change of clothes in your bag and headed to Marcie's. Every day this week you have worn underwear and are doing pretty well with peeing in the potty, however, you keep pooping in your underwear. I know this is a process that takes time so I'm really proud of you for trying. We haven't started trying anything at night yet... stay tuned!
This weekend was another busy one because yesterday was Small Animal Day at MSU which is a great event where a number of the MSU farms are open to the public and a bunch of animals are at the pavilion. Last year you and I went with Aunt Sarah, Sofi and Tony. This year your daddy and Uncle Adam went with us too. You loved seeing the animals even though you wouldn't pet most of them. You did pet a baby pig who was being held by one of the MSU students and kept talking about how the pig was crying because it started squealing while it was being held. You were really quite concerned about the crying pig. After seeing the animals we all went to lunch as Crunchy's which was a great time - it is so fun to see you and Tony together as your personalities are so defined and so different. At one point he was standing on his chair and you told him to sit down and at another point we asked you to hand him a wet wipe and you proceeded to wipe his face! When you and I went to the bathroom we were walking back to the table and Tony was standing next to the table waving at us. You two are so cute!!
