Training to be a soccer mom

Well - this weekend you and I spent a lot of time together because daddy isn't feeling well. After spending all day together yesterday you spent the day today with Grandma and Grandpa so that I could have a little time to myself and daddy could keep recuperating. We capped the day off with dinner together at Grandma's house and spent some time playing there with the millions of toys you have there. One of them is a blow up t-ball set which Grandma said you don't really play with all that much. So, I pulled it out and played with Grandpa to demonstrate to you what you were supposed to do with the t-ball stand, bat and ball. After a few minutes of us demonstrating you decided you would give it a whirl and grabbed the bat to take a swing -the first thing I noticed was that you choked WAY too far up on the bat but I let that go. However, when you swung at the ball in an up and down motion I apparently lost control and slipped, saying "that was weak" before helping to position your hands more appropriately on the bat. Apparently I have some work to do before I will be an acceptable coach. I'm going to apologize now and let you know that I don't mean it and will work very hard to never be "that" mom!
