Another month

It's the end of Thanksgiving weekend and it has been quite a weekend! We went to Great Grandma Lawatsch's house for Thanksgiving and you spent time playing with Keegan and Ethan. It was so much fun to see all of you playing together, it brings a whole new life to the holidays! On Friday Aunt Lynn and Uncle John came for dinner and brought Brock and Lissa with them so you had another day of playing with your cousins. You spent Friday night with Grandma because daddy and I went to my ten year high school reunion - it really is hard to believe that it has been that long since I graduated from high school. Before I know it you'll be starting school. On Saturday morning we went with Grandma and Grandpa to get their Christmas trees and for the second year we went all the way to the back of the lot to look at the planted trees and walked all the way back up the pre cut trees at the front! It was a really nice day out though so it was fun. You spent Saturday night with Aunt Jess and Uncle Joel because your daddy and I had a wedding to go to. It was a great night for us and they said that you did really well. When I went to pick you up this morning you were outside playing and by the time we got home you were sound asleep and proceeded to sleep for 4 hours.

I've once again missed your "monthly birthday" but there is so much to tell you ... you have been changing so much. Your vocabulary is amazing, although you still have some minor things confused ... everything is NO. We have to gage by your tone if it is a "yes-no" or "no-no". Occasionally you are saying yeah but that isn't all that often. You also aren't really saying please or thank you yet. I'm sure that there is more we can do to encourage you to say please and thank you, right now we tend to know what you want and just give it to you which in no way encourages you to say please or thank you.

You are starting to say sorry - today you were frustrated and hit me. Whenever you do that I say "No, don't hit mommy that hurts her" and recently you've started doing one motion where you hit and then lean in for a hug immediately after hitting me. Today when you gave me a hug you said "sorry". I can tell that you are also starting to realize that you shouldn't hit because you'll catch yourself with your arm up but because you are already making the motion you can't quite stop yourself.

Andrea has almost finished editing our family pictures from last weekend and a sneak peek can be found on her blog at http://andreakerbuski.blogspot.com/. I can't wait to see them all!
