Today is your daddy's and my 6th wedding anniversary and we celebrated in style (insert sarcasm here). Actually, last night you stayed with Grandma so that daddy and I could go to dinner and a movie which is a rare treat for us. I picked you up from Grandma's relatively early today so that she could have a break and within a very short time understood why she needed a break so badly. I think you are coming down with another cold and you were none too pleasant all day. It took me almost an hour to get you down for a nap but when you were down you slept for a few hours. Daddy and Grandpa (ba-ba to you) spent the afternoon working on the insulation in the new room so we picked up some Chinese food for dinner with Grandma and Grandpa. When I look back on the day your father and I got married I don't think I could have imagined how wonderful our life would be on this day. Even now I look at everything that we have and everything you have brought to our world and wonder what it will look like in another 6 years. Who will you be at that point? What will you like and dislike? How many siblings will you have? What will you be for Halloween in 6 years? I'm so glad that I have your father to share this journey with and we are so blessed to have welcomed you into this world.

Your new thing lately is to grab a handful of my face when you are angry and it hurts so badly. The look on your face when you are doing it is so deliberate which just makes my blood boil and it takes all I have to not get angry with you. I'm tyring very hard to just say "No, that hurts mama" while holding down your hands. Hopefully this will pass quickly.

Last weekend we had "fall extravaganza" and spent the day with the Mittino's and Rosingana's as well as Kate and her boyfriend Andrew and the Ferrari's. We went to the pumpkin patch and had a chili potluck dinner while you kids were awake. You were a little overwhelmed by that many people and such a long day so you went down pretty early. Sofi and Tony went down while the Mittino's were here and then the adults went outside for a bonfire. It was such a perfect way to spend a Saturday and I hope that we have many more days like that while you are growing up. We've got pumpkins on the porch and need to carve them sometime this week. We'll be in Traverse City for Halloween so we're going to take our pumpkins to Grandma's for her to use.
