If you were talking I think you would say "Mom and Dad have been introducing me to all sorts of great food, however, I think my favorite right now is this shoe" ... your new thing is to chew on your shoes which leaves us wondering, why???? What is the appeal of your shoes? Other than the flavors of everything you have walked on - ugh! Your dad uses love and logic with you which involves giving you behaviors to choose from, so when he sees you chewing on your shoe he will first ask you to take your shoe out of your mouth (and you won't). He then follows by giving you the option of taking your shoe out of your mouth or giving your shoe to him which results in him taking your shoe and you having a fit!
